During the undergraduate and postgraduate stages, I used Unity to make multiple games of different types including casual games, MMORG, Strategy etc.., and used software like Maya, AE and PR to make animations.
I love travelling, having been to Spain, Italy, Belgium,Vienna, France, Switzerland,etc...Prefer to quietness but not refuse connectedness. The meaningfulness of life can never be defined but can be interpreted by one's self-conscious value of living. For me, it is to feel, to expeirence, to empathize with the minority, to celeberate for all novelty.
After discussion in our group today, we decided to continue the game in the first semester and make the second level. The setting is set in a hospital. The division of labor is similar to that in the first semester. I will be responsible for the main program, logic and implementation mechanism.
……
Before designing the game mechanics,
I first thought about what I wanted to continue to discuss and research in this game.
In the first level, I mainly explored how to design the right mechanics in such a game.
At this level, I want to go deeper, how much does the design of the mechanics affect the game, and how does it affect the main character?
How much does it affect the player's experience?
……
First, the design and construction of the scene. Due to time constraints, we still used existing material for the scenes.
Today, I looked for the scene materials of the second level with my friends.
An official resource pack for Unreal Engine was found, but UE was not installed.
So I went to install UE and try to check the required hospital scene materials.

The group discussed animation for the first time. We are very interested in the differences and integration of Chinese and Western cultures. At the same time, inspired by the existing works, such as Our Shining Days , which tells A battle of Chinese and Western Instruments, the theme of the our animation was determined to be an animation about an erhu and A violin. Through the ensemble of the two instruments, we want to show the conflict and fusion of eastern and western instruments.
……
We further discussed the style of animation.
First, we used the animation
Music Land
(Figure 1)for reference to consider how to personify the erhu and violin.
And we learned from some network personified animation character design as our role design reference.
……
To get inspiration for animation, Zhenyu Zhou and I went to the Cadogan Concert hall to hear a symphony.
The symphony was amazing beyond words.
At the same time, the scene in the concert hall was breathtaking, providing the setting for a powerful performance.
As this concert was very special, I decided to make our scene based on this concert hall.
In addition, the lighting effect of the stage was also very important, and the lighting performance of the concert hall provided me with some inspiration.
